Subject: Couldn't Have Been Better
We came up from Virginia for Grand Point North. Why? Because we think Grace Potter & the Nocturnals are perhaps the best live band in the country, bar none. The festival was a nice size, never felt too closed in at all and had great side and main stage acts such as Fitz & the Tantrum and the Wood Brothers. I had the good fortune to meet Grace & Matt as well as Scott and Benny. They couldn't have been nicer and gracious wit their time. Just reinforces my admiration for their unflinching dedication to soul, R&B and Rock n' Roll. Catch these guys live. They're the real deal.

Was anyone else disappointed to see Kenny Chesney doing Tom Petty covers at a GPN show? Maybe I'm just not a huge Kenny fan but up until the encore this show was fire.

Subject: Grand Point North hosted by a class Act!!!
What a great weekend being entertained by all of Grace Potter's friends and the Nocturnal s extended family. I f anyone thinks she put this gig on for profit you need to think again. With all the nice decent security, police, production staff and artist fee's, the numbers off us fans coming in the turnstile. It didn't look to me like a huge profit was made, I hope it does at some point, but what fun i had. During the 14 AUG show she broke out the 'Otis Reading' tune "Pain in my Heart" and she had me crying' like a two year old. & than the Encore sunday night was not to be believed. The saturday show was a great jam start to finish and my never be toped, but trust me it will. I went to 357 Dead shows in 25 years and they were good but never got better with each show. I have tons more to say but will have to post it later. Thank You, GRACE!! Thank you to my friend who recorded these shows and got them up hear so quick. Thank you to the GPN management for letting us have these recordings and to own a small part of our musical lives........
